 Rihanna has been enjoying secret trysts with actor Ryan Phillippe, it has been claimed today. 

The Barbados-born singer and the 36-year-old Cruel Intentions star are said to have met up on numerous occasions over the course of the last few months, according to a U.S. magazine. 

The pair allegedly met up after Rihanna's relationship hit the rocks with baseballer Matt Kemp, and whilst Ryan was casually dating actress Amanda Seyfried.

'They initially hooked up when things were strained with Matt Kemp,' a source told America's Us Weekly. 

According to the report, the couple have been top secret about their relationship by pretending they aren't even interested in each other. 

At that recent pre-Grammy event in Los Angeles, onlookers claimed Ryan approached the 23-year-old only to be rejected.

Not surprisingly Amanda Seyfried and Ryan Phillippe have reportedly called it quits on their almost four month covert romance.

It all started when the Mamma Mia! star was spotted leaving with Phillippe from Kate Hudson’s annual Halloween party at her Pacific Palisades home, and then photographed the following morning, leaving the actor’s home. Afterward the two were spotted out together on and off, at places like celebrity hangout ‘Soho House’ in West Hollywood, where they were outwardly affectionate with each other.

But rumors of the pair splitting heated up when Phillippe was seen trying to hit on singer Rihanna, at a pre-Grammy party on Saturday Feb. 11.

An insider now tells UsMagazine, “They are not dating anymore. And it’s not a big deal for either of them.”

Another insider was quoted as saying, “At one point, there was a chance it would develop into something more serious, but it never did.”

Seemingly quite smitten with one another, Amanda Seyfried and Ryan Phillippe enjoyed a brunch date at Joan's on Third in Los Angeles on Friday (January 7).

The new couple were joined by two friends and Amanda's dog as they popped into the popular eatery before getting a bit camera shy while exiting to find awaiting paparazzi.

Of the scene, an onlooker told People magazine, "They were really cute. The two of them smiled the whole time."

Having just recently paired up, another insider says of the blossoming coupledom, "They're really into each other. They're a really good match and just enjoying it all right now."

Too much planning can lead to heartbreak. Love is great and possible always, but it's very rare to have the feeling that 'I want to be with this person forever".
"They have been on and off for a long time. Right now, they are taking some space from each other.They still talk all the time and are trying to work things out. They are still very good friends", a friend told People Magazine.
