Nicole Kidman Opens Up About Fertility Struggle

Nicole Kidman welcomed Faith Margaret, her second child with country music singer Keith Urban, into the world on December 28 via a gestational carrier -- and the actress admits she suffered agonizing times when trying to conceive.

She explained: "Anyone that's been in the place of wanting another child or wanting a child knows the disappointment, the pain and the loss that you go through trying and struggling with fertility.

"Fertility is such a big thing, and it's not something I've ever run away from talking about."

The Rabbit Hole star also has a two-year-old daughter Sunday Rose with Keith, as well as adoptive children Isabella, 18, and Connor, 15, with ex-husband Tom Cruise. She explained that she and her country singer husband were in a position where while they were "desperate" for another child, but she couldn't get pregnant.

Nicole Kidman added to Australian TV show 60 Minutes: "We were in a place of desperately wanting another child. The opportunity arose for us, and I couldn't get pregnant.

"Children are children -- you'll die for your children. And when you feel that as parent -- that's the unconditional love."

"Just Go With It" NYC Premiere: A Star-Studded Affair

Making for quite the red carpet extravaganza, the stars were out for the premiere of "Just Go With It" in New York City on Tuesday night (February 8).

Held at Ziegfeld Theatre, Jennifer Aniston joined up with Adam Sandler while promoting their upcoming movie ahead of its February 11th release date.

Meanwhile, Nicole Kidman looked radiant in black while escorted around the Big Apple locale by hubby Keith Urban.

Also on the red carpet attendees list were the lovely Brooklyn Decker, Molly Sims and musician Dave Matthews.

With young actress Bailee Madison and Griffin Gluck also starring in the movie and on-hand, Gluck recently told FOX News that he and Bailee created a "cuss bucket" while shooting the comedy flick in Hawaii.


"We made about $1,200 from it!" Griffin said. "Adam paid about $300 of it and we didn't get a cent out of Jennifer -- she didn't swear once!"

She’s up for her third Oscar trophy, and Nicole Kidman freaked her daughter Sunday Rose out when she cried over the news.

The “Moulin Rouge” mommy told press that she wept tears of joy upon learning of her “Rabbit Hole” nomination.

She explained, “Poor Sunday. They said my name and Keith [Urban] was like, ‘Yeah!’ and jumping around the kitchen.”


“And Sunday is like, ‘What’s happening? Why are you crying?’ Because I was crying. She said, ‘Why are we sad?’ I said, ‘No. We’re not sad, Sunday. We’re happy.’ So that would be my memory of this nomination- my daughter and my husband jumping around the kitchen.

They're both well-known Hollywood talents, so it comes as quite the pleasant news that Nicole Kidman and James Franco are teaming up on Broadway.

According to reports, the “Australia” actress and the “127 Hours” star have made plans to appear in a revival of “Sweet Bird of Youth” next fall.

The much-anticipated show follows a drifter using an aging movie star to break into film.


On another note, Franco will be hosting this year’s Oscars with Anne Hathaway while he and Miss Kidman are both up for leading actor/actress awards, respectively.

Nicole Kidman used to be the butt of every Botox joke because of the way it just seemed to freeze her face. The actress admits that that she’s used it in the past, but says she’s done with it!

“I’ve tried a lot of things, but aside from sports and good nutrition, most things don’t make a difference. ”

“I have also tried Botox. I didn’t like how my face looked afterwards,” she says. “Now I don’t use it anymore – I can move my forehead again!”

I’m so glad she isn’t using it anymore – she is so gorgeous naturally and doesn’t need any injections messing with that beauty! I don’t know many stars who look GOOD after Botox.

We’ll get to see Nicole shine next week at the Golden Globe Awards – she’s nominated for her role in “The Rabbit Hole“. Have you seen it yet? I really want to, but need to be in the right frame of mind for the subject matter.

Nicole Kidman was on Conan O’Brien to promote her new movie, Rabbit Hole, and revealed to the talk show host that she has some interesting ‘pets’ on her Nashville, Tennessee farm – Alpacas!

“We have alpacas on our farm because they’re so pretty. They have lovely long lashes. I think they’re really cool. I always wanted a mix of weird animals but that’s the weirdest we have.”

“You can walk them around on a leash and we have a two year old who loves them.”

Well I guess most kids would love an Alpaca as a pet! It sure beats the typical dog or cat that most kids get! And Nicole revealed that she wants to add more animals to her farm, namely snakes!

“I want to get some more weird animals eventually, I’d love to get snakes, I love them. They might not be a good idea around the baby though.”

Ugh, just typing the word ‘snakes’ gives me the creeps! I couldn’t imagine anyone wanting one as a pet! Hmmm, I would never peg Nicole Kidman for the kind of person who liked exotic animals!

Nicole Kidman was photographed heading into ABC studios for a guest appearance on ‘Good Morning America’. The actress is currently making her press rounds for ‘Rabbit Hole’ – her newest movie which also stars Aaron Eckhart and Sandra Oh.

Life for a happy couple is turned upside down after their young son dies in an accident. Based on a play by David Lindsay-Abaire.

Nicole Kidman needs to get a comedy one of these days. It’s always so DRAMATIC and HEART WRENCHING. I love her to pieces, but I don’t want to cry every single time I watch one of her flicks!
